Beyond The Boards was established by Dr. Thomas Moshiri in an effort to provide physicians with the tools needed to prepare for and master the American Board of Anesthesia Written and Oral Board Certification exam, the Pain Management Certification exam, and the MOCA re-certification exam at a reasonable cost.

Our company logo of an Aesculapius with the eye of Horus resting on an open book signifies our commitment to excellence in medicine & healing, our vision, and our desire to continuously seek knowledge and understanding.  We strive to support and assist our colleagues and to share our collective wisdom with those that seek to better themselves.


Dr. Moshiri attended Medical School at the University of Vermont.  He completed an Internal Medicine Internship and continued on as an Anesthesiology resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He attended a Pain Management fellowship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle while working part-time as an ICU attending.  Dr. Moshiri has also worked as one of the oral board examiners in Dr. Jensen's board review seminars.  He is currently board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.  He works as a private practice anesthesiologist and a consultant anesthesiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.  A copy of his resume can be found here. 





Company history
Although the study material for Beyond The Boards actually began to take form a few years earlier, the company itself was founded in early 2009. 
We are located in Phoenix, AZ where Dr. Moshiri resides.  Dr. Moshiri is always happy to meet with and discuss any aspects of the board review material or the performance of the company with any interested parties.
