Beyond The Boards was created by physicians for physicians in order to fill the void that has existed in our field for some time.  Even though there are many board review courses available, none even attempt to provide the same level of excellence and dedication in preparing the candidate for board certification while keeping costs at a level that would be actually affordable by most residents and fellows.  This is the void we try to fill at Beyond The Boards!

What you will find at Beyond The Boards is a complete and modern approach to studying for the board certification exam in the fields of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, while achieving top notch knowledge that can be utilized in your everyday practice.  Our intention is to completely immerse you in the field of study while keeping you continuously updated with the latest information available.  Since each individual's learning style is different, we will attempt to saturate all of your learning "receptors" in every way possible using material in several different formats.  

We believe that Beyond The Boards is the premier board review source for the Anesthesia Written and Oral Boards, and the Pain Medicine Certification exam.  In addition, we hope to help prepare you for the days beyond the board certification stage by helping you become more educated in the fields of tax planning, asset protection, finance, and wealth preservation. 


Pain Management Board Review material can be found in Beyond Pain.

Beyond Pain a detailed and intensive board review book intended to prepare the candidate for the certification exam.  This book brings multispecialty and difficult to understand or complex topics all "under the same roof" in order to help the candidate achieve mastery of the subjects tested in the shortest possible time.




The second book is the Study Companion to the review book.  This study guide contains questions and answers which are referenced to the original study book and is designed to assess and enhance the candidate's knowledge while pin-pointing subjects where weaknesses exist.



Anesthesia Board Review material can be found in Beyond Anesthesia.

Beyond Anesthesia is a comprehensive anesthesia board review course for the written and the oral board certification examination.  This book is intended to prepare the candidate with the core knowledge needed to overtake the board certification examination.  It is also intended for the seasoned anesthesiologist requiring a refresher for the MOCA cognitive examination.


Preparing For The Anesthesia Oral Boards helps teach the candidate the skills, the knowledge, and the techniques needed to pass the oral board certification examination. This book contains memory enhancement and oral presentation techniques along with a systematic manner in which to approach the oral board case scenarios and master the exam.
